Self Adhesive Extruded Magnetic Profile “A”

Description:  A 1.5mm thick extruded isotropic magnetic profile laminated with a non-woven acrylic pressure sensitive tape on a PE polycoated 110 micron paper liner. It has a high performance solvent acrylic, with excellent tack and initial adhesion. It is plasticiser and UV resistant, giving good ageing properties and good all-round weatherability, with high & low temperature resistance.

Application:  Designed as a closure or temporary holding system for a wide range of applications in the sign industry for illuminated sign boxes; exhibition signs, cabinets & displays; picture framers display boards, general sign & banner installations; shop fitting. Within the building industry it can be used as a closure system for shower screens, insect screens, door seals. Profile can be used as a single piece for holding objects to ferrous metals or as pairs (magnet to magnet). N.B. When using magnet to magnet it is important to ensure that one has opposite poles aligned so that the magnet will hold.

Technical Details:

Surface Preparation:  The surface on which the tape is to be used must be clean, dry and free from grease and dust. Remember that pressure sensitive adhesive must be applied with the maximum possible pressure in order to achieve maximum adhesion levels. The recommended application temperature is between 15ºC and 25ºC.

Storage:  Tapes stored below the minimum application temperature will require warming up to that level before use. Up to 24 hours may be required for this to take place.
