Description: S2S CPC 500 is an environmentally friendly, long-lasting anti-corrosion lubricant formulated to prevent rust and corrosion on metal surfaces and in void spaces on marine vessels.
S2S CPC 500 is easy to apply by spraying, brushing, dunking or float coating. It polar bonds to all types of metal including damp, painted and rusted surfaces providing long-term protection. Application of S2S does not require sandblasting.
S2S CPC 500 water discharge meets the requirements of the California Environmental Protection Agency, the Canadian Marine Water Quality Guidelines and the British Columbia Provincial Marine Water Quality Guidelines.
Features:
- MIL-SPEC 16173
- Float coat application eliminates the need to work in confined spaces
- Provides self-healing coverage
- Displaces water and oxygen
- Penetrates and de-scales existing rust
- Keeps metal surfaces rust-free long-term
- Compatible with electronics, rubber and plastics
- No cure time
- Environmentally friendly
Uses: Work-in-progress goods • Equipment and parts going into storage • Goods in transit • Structural steel and support bases • Wellheads • Drill rigs • Fittings and flanges • Pipelines and piping • Any exposed metal surface • Ventilated and unventilated void spaces on marine vessels.
Application:
Shake or stir product before use.
Calculate product requirement: Coverage per gallon of product at 2 mils = 200 sq ft. surface area. When float coating, add 20% to final calculation.
Ensure surface is clean and free of debris. Spray, brush or roll product on evenly ensuring welds, cracks and corners are well-coated. No curing time. Reapply when surface appears dry.
For Float Coat procedure: 1) Measure and add S2S CPC 500. 2) Add water by placing pump hose at floor of tank and slowly filling with water. Avoid turbulence. Note: Product is lighter than water and will float on top, polar bonding to all metal surfaces as it rises. 3) When filled, turn off pump and let mixture settle for 24 hours. This will allow product to fully separate from water and bond to metal surfaces. 4) Drain void by slowly pumping water out from bottom. For units with heavy rust scale, proceed as above but allow more volume and time for product to soak into the rust scale. A second up and down cycle may be prudent.
Removal: Product does not typically need to be removed but if desired, simply wash with a high pH detergent and water.
Disposal: Dispose of contents and container in accordance with applicable regional, national and local laws and regulations.
Storage: Store in a well-ventilated place at room temperature. Shelf life is greater than 2 years.
