Base material is yellow (Japanese flat rice paper) tape coated with any acrylic adhesive. The tape has good UV stability, high operating temperature range and a very high resistance to solvents and will remove cleanly with no adhesive residue for 60+ days outdoors and 120+ days indoors.
Defect tape is designed to be applied to all manner of building surfaces (both interior and exterior) including painted surfaces and to be able to be left on for a period of time and then to remove cleanly with no adhesive residue left behind. Defect tape can be written on with a ballpoint pen, permanent Texta etc. and the ink will not ’bleed through’. The artwork design includes and arrow head on the left to identify the problem, a section for a date to be included which can be used as the date of identification and or when the problem needs to be resolved and a couple of lines to describe the issue and or who might be fixing/rectifying the problem.
Technical Data
Tape Thickness: 0.087mm
Elongation at Break: 3.5%
180° Peel Adhesion: 2.1 N/cm
Tensile Strength: 36.1 N/cm
Service Temperature: 0°C to 100°C
Surface Preparation
The surface on which the tape is to be used must be clean, dry and free from grease and dust. Remember that pressure sensitive adhesive must be applied with the maximum possible pressure in order to achieve maximum adhesion levels. The recommended application temperature is between 15ºC and 30ºC.
Storage
Tapes stored below the minimum application temperature will require warming up to that level before use. Up to 24 hours may be required for this to take place.
