Roll Size: 150mm wide (2 separate rolls – 150mm wide main colour with a 50mm wide additional colour) and 75mm (2 separate rolls – 75mm wide main colour with a 25mm wide additional colour)
Adhesive: Rubber Natural
Description: PVC tape, flame retardant/self-extinguishing. Offers good conformability.
Regulations: ISO 14726 (2008) Ships and marine technology – Identification colours for the content of piping systems. Please note that this system is not intended to identify medical or industrial gasses and cargos.
Installation: Pipelines should be marked at least once in each room; at each penetration point in bulkheads and decks, close to each valve and within a distance of 3-5m along the length of the pipeline. Local conditions may require more marking due to pipe bends or the close proximity of pipes for different services. Prior to application, pipes should be dust and oil free. The tape should overlap by at least 20mm on the ‘blind side’ of the pipe, however on pipes with an external circumference of over 200mm the tape only needs to cover half the circumference of the pipe.

Specification: Certification to the following standards may be available on request.BS3924 31/90Tp, BS4J10, BS3887 : 1991, IEC 454-3-1 and AS1621.
Surface Preparation: The surface on which the tape is to be used must be clean, dry and free from grease and dust. Remember that pressure sensitive adhesive must be applied with the maximum possible pres-sure in order to achieve maximum adhesion levels. The recommended application temperature is between 15ºC and 25ºC.
Storage: Tapes stored below the minimum application temperature will require warming up to that level before use. Up to 24 hours may be required for this to take place.
Note: The above figures represent average values. Actual figures can vary. The selection and application of a tape is the responsibility of the buyer. Tape should be stored at room temperature and should not be exposed to sunlight. We reserve the right to make changes without notice to our products and specifications.
